Disneyland : Day Four
Day Four was quite the busy day, we woke up bright and early to get a jump on our next destination on this trip....Disneyland!. Waking up at 6am on a vacation wasn't the most ideal of scenarios but we needed to catch the Metrolink Train from LA to Anaheim at 8am, we missed it the previous day so this day was do or die for us because there wouldn't have been another chance for us to go. After a 45 min train ride and about a 20 min shuttle into Disneyland we were finally at the "Happiest Place on Earth", once inside we quickly learned that this would be no cakewalk as there were SO MANY people....i don't think I've seen that many people in one place in my life, it was quite overwhelming. All the rides were a 30-78 minute wait so we spent the first half of the day just walking around the different sections Disney has to offer before taking the Monorail to Downtown Disney for some lunch.
After we had our bellies full we were ready to tackle some lines so that we could make the most of our trip. There was a neat little Star Wars exhibit that was worth checking out, they had life size models of costumes and characters with the option to purchase an authentic Darth Vader costume for a very cheap $4000 (insert sarcasm). Next up we decided to wait in line for Star Tours, an epic journey through outer space hosted by C-3P0, after waiting almost 60 minutes in line we experienced a pretty cool 3D ride which made waiting in line seem worth it.
Before we decided to leave the park after spending 6 hours in the park Danielle decided she must have a Pineapple Dole Whip...she wouldn't leave the park without it so it was off to wait another 25 min to get a batch for her (i will never understand girls and their love of ice cream lol). After all was said and done with the Dole Whip love affair we checked out some gift shops and concluded our trip to Disney....until next time.
Travelers Tip : When visting Disneyland you might want to purchase the FastPass, it grants you access to the front of the line for the ride of your choice, the FastPass is absolutely free you just have to wait in line and simply ask for one, it's worth it because due to high attendance you'll be waiting close to an hour and a half for most rides in the park.
